KustomGaras The Journal x Jayakusuma KG

Hello, my name is Jaya. I'm 19 years old and I just graduated from high school. I'm from Surabaya and I've loved custom motorcycles since I was a kid. I've always wanted to have a motorcycle that reflects my passion and is different from anything else.

From Black and White to Caferacer

I started building this motorcycle in late 2018 in Semarang Ambarawa at a workshop called Banyu Biru. The base motorcycle was a 2007 Yamaha Scorpio that was originally black and white. After about a year, I got bored with the look and I met a friend who had a caferacer motorcycle workshop in Surabaya called Hongkingkong Custom.

A 2-in-1 Caferacer/Bratcafe

I was tired of the old look, so I handed the motorcycle over to Hongkingkong Custom to rebuild it with a 2-in-1 concept. It's a caferacer, but it can also be a bratcafe thanks to the removable hornet tail.

Custom Parts and a Smooth Ride

The motorcycle has some great custom parts, including an upside-down front shock, aftermarket headlights and front turn signals, a custom clip-on handlebar, a Honda CB750 replica tank, a Ride it tabung rear shock, a custom stainless steel exhaust, V-Rossi 17/215 front wheels, V-Rossi 17/300 rear wheels, underbone footpegs, Swallow SB135 400 r17 front tires, and Swallow SB135 450 r17 rear tires.

My favorite part of the motorcycle is the engine. It has a great pull and a fantastic sound. I'm finally happy with a motorcycle that reflects my passion, after going through a lot of heartache, including the long wait and the need for patience.

Gantari: The Illuminator

Gantari is the nickname I gave to my Yamaha Scorpio Caferacer. It was given to me by my workshop. In Javanese, Gantari means "to illuminate". So, I believe that anyone who rides this motorcycle will have a bright path and find solutions to overcome even the most difficult problems in their lives.
