Jeep Reveals 2025 Grand Cherokee Pricing, V6 Models Get a Price Cut
Jeep has officially announced pricing for the 2025 Grand Cherokee, with a pleasant surprise for buyers looking to save. The new models have arrived at dealerships across the U.S., and the pricing shows a decrease for certain V6-powered trims, making the iconic SUV even more accessible.
Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 Models See Price Cuts
Starting with the entry-level Laredo trim, the rear-wheel-drive 2025 Grand Cherokee is priced at $38,830, which is $1,000 less than the 2024 model. For those needing four-wheel drive, the cost adds $2,000, which is consistent across the lineup. This pricing strategy aligns with Jeep's goal of maintaining competitive pricing in the midsize SUV market.
For drivers seeking the extended Grand Cherokee L, which comes with a third row, pricing starts at $40,830 for the Laredo rear-wheel-drive model—again, offering a $1,000 saving compared to the 2024 version. This budget-friendly move comes despite the elimination of the lower-priced Laredo A, which was offered at $38,290 for the 2024 model year.
Grand Cherokee Model Lineup and Powertrain Options
Other models in the lineup include the Limited, Overland, and Summit trims, with starting prices of $46,700, $60,790, and $62,355, respectively. The entire 2025 Grand Cherokee lineup continues to feature the 3.6-liter V6 engine, which delivers 293 horsepower, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Jeep had previously offered a more powerful 5.7-liter V8 option, but it was discontinued for the Grand Cherokee in 2023 and for the Grand Cherokee L in 2024. As a result, buyers who want more power will need to opt for the Grand Cherokee 4xe, a plug-in hybrid variant.
Grand Cherokee 4xe: The Hybrid Option
The Grand Cherokee 4xe provides an appealing alternative for drivers who want increased horsepower and better fuel efficiency. This plug-in hybrid combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an electric motor to deliver a total of 375 horsepower. However, it’s important to note that the 4xe is currently available only in the two-row version of the Grand Cherokee and comes standard with four-wheel drive.
The 2025 Grand Cherokee 4xe starts at $62,285 for the Limited trim, with no changes in pricing from the previous model year. This option is ideal for those looking for both extra power and eco-friendly driving, with the added benefits of electric power for short trips.
No Major Changes Ahead of 2026 Refresh
While the 2025 models arrive with minimal changes, Jeep is planning a significant mid-cycle refresh for the 2026 model year. Camouflaged prototypes have already been spotted, suggesting updated styling, particularly at the front of the vehicle. Rumors also indicate that Jeep may introduce a new 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine from its parent company, Stellantis, as a replacement for the V8 in the upcoming refreshed models.
With these updates on the horizon, the 2025 Grand Cherokee offers an affordable yet capable option for those not wanting to wait for the refreshed version.
